Women's Safety Shoes
Women's safety shoes are a niche market that will always exist. So what is the difference between regular safety wear compared to women's safety shoes? Well there are a few. Firstly, they are styled somewhat differently most of the time. So the first difference has to do with fashion most of the time. And why not? Good protective footwear not only has to do the job but they can also look good, which is a great bonus.
However, despite the fact that there is added focus on fashion, this does not means that women's safety shoes protect less than other variants on the market. They just put added effort into the looks of the shoe. So the colours used as well as design cues would normally revolve around contemporary design cues. These colors are not exactly the colors you'd find in your garden variety safety boots.
Also, women's safety shoes are sometimes sold in heeled version. That's right, they have heels. However, it should be said that most safety heels are of the much lower variety. You won't find safety stiletto's with a five inch heel as its quite redundant to do that. It must be comfortable and mobile enough while providing safety. The added bonus here is that they look good. Usually however, men's safety footwear are not heeled in any way.
For a more feminine look, a varying amount of heeled versions are available for purchase on the market. Lastly, all women's safety shoes are constructed only from the lightest materials. This is to ensure that the shoe is not cumbersome for daily use as this can mean very quick leg fatigue. As such, you will sometimes come across shoes made from Kevlar which is a very strong but somewhat expensive material to use. Take a look at the varieties offered on the right.
